That being said it is very usable out of the box. The play issue can be corrected by having a pin machined for the pivot point & drilling out the shift lever for the larger pin to take out the slack. The effort to put the car in gear is less which is my favorite feature about it over the B&M. I like the shorter throw but it does have excessive rotational play just like the V1 which is non-existent on the B&M. To me this one is just like the V1 except it may be sprung a little harder and then there's the orange anodize. I've had the V1, now the V2, as well as a B&M. This is a good shifter for the price, not the best however. I've had a B&M short shifter in a previous KA and they both compare equally as good, only you can get the ISR for the fraction of the cost. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality short shifter for the best price. The slack is reduced also in gears and also in neutral. The shifts are extremely short versus the oem. I can easily say it is one of the best setups I have had. I oredered the ISR short shifter and paired it with the Tomei Duracon 90mm shift knob. I also have to mention customer service is top notch!
